Egypt Museums — Privacy Policy
Egypt Museums is a guide to Egypt's museums and archaeological sites. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads and no in-app purchases. We never ask for your name, email, contacts or any other personal information.
Location
If you allow it, the app uses your device's location to show nearby places and to plan visits from where you are. Your location is processed only on your device. We never send it to us or store it anywhere. You can refuse or revoke the permission at any time, and the app still works if you choose a city by hand.
What the app downloads, and from where
| Request | Purpose | Sent to |
|---|---|---|
| Museum and site data, and photos | Keeping hours, prices and information up to date | jsDelivr CDN / GitHub, Wikimedia Commons |
| Map tiles | Showing maps | Google Maps (subject to Google's privacy policy) |
Like any internet service, these providers receive your IP address when the app downloads files. We do not receive or store it. The app does not collect the advertising ID and contains no analytics or tracking SDKs.
Links to ticketing websites
Ticket buttons open official ticketing websites, such as the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities platform or the Grand Egyptian Museum, in your browser. Purchases happen on those websites under their own privacy policies; the app never sees your payment details.
Data on your device
Your favourites, saved itineraries and settings are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date. For any question, contact us at the developer email address shown on the app's Google Play listing.
